Summer 2010

This summer we visited the United States and saw many things. We ended up getting photos from Avalon, Thomas's college tour, woodloch week, Sesame Place, and, as dad said before, the reunion. And all of the photos will be shown on the sidebar.

Our Third Christmas in Uganda

Our third December in Uganda has brought many great things. First, we got off of school on the 18th, not to come back until Jan. 11th. This meant three whole weeks for our family to do whatever we felt like.
To start the great things that happened during our three weeks, we had CHRISTMAS! This was a great Christmas for us because it was our first Christmas celebrated in Uganda with decorations and a Christmas tree. As well as the decorations, all of the Christmas presents that the family got were amazing.
Next, we were planning to go to Kenya, but the places we wanted to go were unstable. So, we decide to go to Kidepo Valley National Park in the north of Uganda. While we were there, we saw many animals (e.g.… Zebra, Giraffe, Buffalo, Elephant, Rabbits, Owls, Gazelle, Cob, Hartebeests, Lion eyes, Humans), stepped on the border of Sudan/Uganda, Bird watched, went into a hot spring, and sight saw many mountains and plains. During the nights, we camped in a campsite.
On New Year’s Eve, we sat around the campfire, sang songs, sprayed silly string, played games and made resolutions (in our heads). You will see most of this in the pictures on the toolbar. We then had to take the long 12 hour long drive back down to our cozy home in Kampala.
By the time we got back, we had got all the Secret Santa presents and care packages waiting for us. We had a great time opening and playing/wearing our great presents. So thank you very much for all the presents.

Johnnyboy Ties the Knot

Last week, John and Moira married. We had the pleasure of going back to the US for a week to join in the celebration. It was a phenomenal week. You'll get a better feel for how it went by looking at the photos than by reading my words, I think. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
